Frugal Frocks: Bombshell
It is said that Marilyn Monroe actually wasn't much of a wardrobe hog. She had a few key items that she liked to wear (and I'll be sure to do a post on those sometime soon!) and when it it came to events, she nearly always borrowed from the studio. She may have been a movie star, but she was a frugal fashionista too!
Now, since we don't have extensive wardrobe departments to borrow from, we have to shop carefully. Finding a dress that is fabulous and also versatile isn't always easy. That is why I LOVE these dresses from Stop Staring. At around $150, they aren't crazy cheap, but they are well made, with easy wear shapes. They are classicly styled and can be dressed up or down. I'd like to think Marilyn would have always packed a dress like this. It's fine for day wear, (you can throw a little cardi or jacket on top) and of course, easy to glam up in the evening.
